SRH batsman Rahul Tripathi looked visibly distressed on the steps of the Ahmedabad Cricket Ground after being run out in an unfortunate misunderstanding during IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 against KKR on Tuesday. Tripathi played a stunning innings, showcasing his batting ability before eventually falling on 55. He was fully prepared at the crease and became victim of a misunderstanding with his batting partner Abdul Samad, due to which he was run out.
As the ball fell to one side of Russell at reverse point, his lightning-quick reaction and accurate toss frustrated Tripathi, ultimately breaking his great innings. Tripathi’s innings was set apart by a commendable innings of 55 runs in 35 overs. Rahul Tripathi produced a remarkable performance after some big business and innovative stroke play, however excellent handling from Andre Russell coupled with a costly mistake between the wickets resulted in his brilliant innings being reduced to 55 runs from 35 balls. Tripathi was run out at this crucial moment, leaving Hyderabad (SRH) in a vulnerable position.
